While their stories and home states vary, the common thread is that they choose to bring their children back to the place where they made so many memories as children. We chose Week #29 when our daughter started school (before that we owned Week #8). The Trolley operates between Memorial & Labor Day weekends – and is a great service to take you to the beach, to Harbor Town, South Beach and other common destinations. The fact that the ocean is literally like bath water in mid July is a bonus. We also are extremely fond of the SIZE and LAYOUT of the Swallowtail properties (all are identically furnished and 2 bedroom units). The Master Bedroom is upstairs with a GORGEOUS renovated bathroom; it has a nice closet and a sitting room outside of the bedroom with a sleeper sofa that our daughter slept on until she was comfortable sleeping in her own bedroom. The second bedroom is on the main floor and has a full bathroom as well. What sets these units apart from some of the newer timeshares is their roominess. There are spaces for different groups to gather (dining room table, kitchen, living room, outdoor deck, sitting room, bedrooms, and even the special open space underneath the stairwell (open to glass on the golf course) – a favorite hideaway for children!Unfortunately, our family has been unable to use Week #29 for the past 4 years since it conflicts with an important event at our church campground each year. Although we paid substantially more for this unit, we are offering it for sale at a very reasonable price. We are motivated to sell and will consider ANY offer. Our hope is that a family will be able to enjoy years of beach life and biking on HHI!A few bonus items: There is a private beach on HHI (Tower Beach) that Swallowtail Guests are welcome to use. It’s not advertised, but if you prefer to have a less crowded beach experience, just ask at the desk, and they will provide you with access to Tower Beach. Although Swallowtail is an older property, the board of directors does an excellent job in maintaining the reasonable maintenance fees. There communication is good, and they make sound business decisions. It really is quite nice to have a home away from home that is well maintained and is a safe place to vacation with your family or friends.
